About Us

Michael's love for woodturning and carpentry has always been a part of his life. From shaping scrap wood with his fathers tools in the basement when he was a kid to experiencing wood turning and woodworking in the high school wood shop. After high school, Mike worked briefly with his family at there fathers body shop, After a short time, he felt the call for something more. After talking to his father, he ventured out and followed his love for woodwork, carpentry and photography. Soon Michael's passion for photography brought him to the beautiful Pacific Northwest where he found work is a carpenter and meet his wife Sandra. We have been together for going on 30 years and raised two boys.

Our oldest is happily married and has given us our beautiful grand daughter.

Coming to The Pacific Northwest, Mikes career grew, he traveled the state seeing and experiencing the beauty and diversity of Oregon while working with a service station restoration contractor. Once he was married he worked with a primer deck builder out of Sandy, OR. for seven years building decks, outdoor furniture and wood decor. Worked briefly as a Oregon National Guard minor construction inspector. After the state, worked with several restoration contractor's eventually working up to becoming a project manager.

In 2016 Mike found his way back to woodturning after buying a small lathe needing restoration. I have since upgraded my equipment and now have a big one! 

Today, Mike and Sandra's love for the Pacific Northwest and creative woodworking has brought them to live and work in Nehalem, OR. at the coast. We continue to share our love for creating as a outdoor restoration contractor and artesian woodturner / woodworker.

I hope to share and teach my passion for woodworking and carpentry far into the future.
